As the door is almost closing on 2018, GastroNorth are getting ready to celebrate the Christmas and New Year festivities as we look back on a fantastic year for the team!
So much has happened over the last 12 months, and we couldn’t be happier that we’ll be heading into the New Year having achieved so much in such a short space of time.
Starting right at the beginning of the year, we celebrated the GastroLab’s first anniversary of opening which has seen many guests visit our lab to learn more about the latest catering equipment and technology that has been introduced to the market.
Fast forward a few months to May, when we received an ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award at the CEDA Grand Prix Awards for our work on St. Chad’s College, in which we completed a full refurbishment of the catering areas and separated the kitchen and servery spaces.
GastroNorth have also worked on several other projects this year such as Monkwearmouth Academy, Middlesbrough Town Hall and Caffe Gondola, completing innovative and efficient design and installation schemes for the kitchen and catering areas.
Our staff have also achieved much success this year in which two members of the GastroNorth team, Sales Director Bob Vardy and Junior Design Engineer James Blanchard, were nominated for Catering Insight’s Power List! As well as this, James was also awarded with New College Durham’s ‘Apprentice of the Year’ title after completing his apprenticeship with us last year.
We have also taken on several new members of staff over the last 12 months including Neil Anderson who joined Gastro-Direct, a division company of GastroNorth, back in July.
As well as all of this, we also made some huge changes to our website which was completely rebuilt and now has a fresh, contemporary look.
GastroNorth have had a great year and we couldn’t be happier with all of the good things that’s happened to the business throughout 2018.
Over the festive period, GastroNorth’s main office will close for Christmas on Friday 21st December and reopen in the New Year on Wednesday 2nd January. Last chance to order for deliveries in time for Christmas is Friday 21st December by 3pm.
From everyone here at GastroNorth, we would like to wish all of our customers and good friends in the industry a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We’ll see you all in 2019!Back
